The Columbia Young Scientists (CYS) Fair and Expo is an annual event at the University of Missouri that promotes STEM for people of all ages.
The CYS Expo is a public event for all ages and features university, local, and state scientists, organizations, and clubs, each with a booth with demos, displays, and information.

The Columbia Young Scientists (CYS) Fair and Expo is an annual event at the University of Missouri that promotes STEM for people of all ages. This event has two parts: a science fair and a science expo. The CYS Fair features K-12 home school students through a partnership with the Mid-Missouri Co-op of Home Educators (CHE).
The CYS Science Fair features students in three categories: Kindergarten-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, and 6th-8th grade, with additional opportunities for high school students. The Expo, a public event for all ages, features university, local, and state scientists, organizations, and clubs, each with a booth with demos, displays, and information.

At the 2019 event, the Expo had 22 participating vendors from various lab groups, organizations, clubs, individuals scientists, researchers, and representatives from University Missouri offices and colleges. The Expo featured MU booths from Raptor Rehab, The Antidote (Veterinary Medicine), MU iLab, College of Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, and Office of Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity, among others. Local Columbia organizations were also present, including the City of Columbia’s Stormwater Education Program, Columbia Water and Light, Army Ants Robotics, and the Missouri Department of Conservation.
